Hello Wheelies: Now that Newcastle Produce has closed for remodeling (under new ownership), we'll be taking more routes into Auburn. This week's long route is an interesting one that I don't think I've used before. It will take us through some of the older neighborhoods in Auburn before we get to Baked and Brewed, located at 958 Lincoln Ave in Auburn. The long route is 41 miles with 2550' of climbing. The short route is going to Roanies, located at 3210 Boyington Rd, Loomis (near Penryn Rd and I-80). The route is 30 miles with 1700' of climbing. Both rides begin and end in the traffic circle in front of the bathrooms at Granite Bay Community Park, located on the corner of Douglas Blvd and Barton Rd. 8:00 socialization, 8:15 sign in, 8:30 pedals down. Note: Having access to route navigation is a requirement for these Saturday morning Granite Bay rides. Printed cue sheets and maps are not provided by the ride leader. It's up to each rider to come prepared to ride, including having proper navigation for the route. Thank you for understanding.
