One our missions as a club is to support cycling in our community. What better way to do that than to improve one of our favorite cycling locations….the American River Parkway?
The American River Parkway Foundation is inviting our club members to participate in their Spring Cleanup event taking place on Saturday, April 15th from 9 am to noon. We would like to make a significant impact together as a club and hope that many of you will want to join in. We have selected the Upper Sunrise area of the parkway to volunteer in. All you need to do is to register and then show up!! (Once registered, please let me know so we can keep a log of who is attending.) Here is a link that will take you directly to the volunteer registration page at Upper Sunrise:

This is an opportunity for our entire club to make an impact on the community together. Clean-ups are essential to removing trash and debris from the Parkway, allowing the environment to heal itself and preventing trash and debris from entering the ecosystem and waterways. In 2022, 158,383 pounds of trash was removed from the Parkway! The American River Parkway Foundation is the only nonprofit organization focused on active conservation of all 23 miles of the American River Parkway.
Please contact Debbie Finley at dfinley@dcn.org after you have registered as a volunteer or have any questions.
