Description: The Sacramento Wheelmen and Club officers are pleased to welcome a number of new members to our club. As part of our commitment to cycling in the greater Sacramento area, we invite all members, new and veterans alike, to join us for a day of cycling on Saturday, May 20. We are offering a number of routes to choose from for this ride. These routes are meant to accommodate cyclists from beginner to expert. Below are both links to each of these routes in Ride With GPS format as well as attached cuesheets for each route. The Ride with GPS routes can be downloaded onto various devices, including Garmin GPS devices as well a smart phones (note: a free Ride with GPS app is available for downloading onto smart phones). For those of you who may not be familiar with cuesheets, they can be printed out and are intended to provide turn-by-turn instructions for the specified route.
The club's Saturday Morning exercise rides are weekly events that begin and end at Granite Bay Community Park (GBCP). The GBCP is located on the corner of Douglas Blvd and Barton Road in Granite Bay. Club members meet in front of the park's bathrooms. We gather between 8:30 and 8:45 for socialization. Pedals down (start time) is 9 am. The routes vary each week and are emailed to club members via the club's groups.io email account.
