The Sacramento Wheelmen Annual Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2009. This gala evening will again be held at the Dante club, 2230 Fair Oaks Blvd., between Fulton & Howe.

Dinner choices include Prime Rib of Beef, Roasted Chicken or a Vegetarian Ravioli,
preceded by Antipasto Appetizers.

The cost for the evening as a member is $35.00 and non member guests pay $40 (see separate registration form). Please note that prepaid advance reservations are necessary.

We invite all members to join us for this wonderful evening.

Sacramento Wheelmen Annual Photo Contest
We would like to encourage budding photographers to take photos throughout the
year & submit them to the contest. Rules are shown below.

The Rules
• Must be taken between 1 Dec 2007 and 30 Nov 2008
• Must be related to biking in some way (see categories below)
• Each contestant may win only 1 prize
• Send/deliver submissions between 1 Nov and 7 Dec 2008
• Color and black and white

Individuals may enter as many photos as they would like into the
contest, but each photo may only be entered into one of the following
categories:
• Bicycling Action
• Bicycling Still
• Bicycling Landscape
• Bicycling Lifestyles
• Bicycling Creative Digital

Entries will be evaluated based on appeal, content and photographic skill. The decision of the judges is final.

SUBMISSION DETAILS: The Entry Deadline is December 7th. Photos will be displayed at the banquet on Saturday, January 24th, 2009. Please pick up your entries after the banquet.
Submit 8 x 10 photos mounted on white poster board with at least one inch of the poster board surrounding the photo so we can handle the entries without putting fingerprints on the photos. Do not write on the front. On the back of the poster board write your name, phone number and category for the photo.

a Wheelmen ride.

Care will be taken with regard to handling and protecting entries, however, Wheelmen Bicycle Club will not be held liable for damage or loss.

PRIZES:
Ribbon awards for top three places in each category and two Honorable mentions
will also be awarded in each category.
