Route Descriptions

Whitney High School will be home base for check in, start/finish, as well as post ride meal/expo.

Topography: Each route offers a mixture of terrain, from tree-shaded valleys and roadside streams to beautiful vineyards. Many miles are in rolling oak woodlands punctuated by short but steep climbs. The longer routes include several long climbs. PLEASE TRAIN APPROPRIATELY!

Century (100 miles): Ascending from the flats of the valley into the foothills. Stop by Meadow Vista Rest Stop for lunch and then on to the pines of Colfax. Total elevation gain is a challenging 6500 feet.

“Almost Metric” Century (58 miles): Wind your way through the foothills, past vineyards and farm land on rural lightly traveled roads. Enjoy the mid-way rest stop at Dono dal Cielo Winery near Newcastle. Total elevation gain is 3200 feet.

40 Mile Ride: Takes riders on a route from Rocklin climbing to the mid-way rest stop at Camp Far West, then descending back to the start. Total elevation gain of 1000 feet.

All routes will open at 6:00 a.m. with last start time being 9:00 a.m. Close time for all routes will be 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

DIRECTIONS: Check-in and ride start/finish are at Whitney High School and post-ride activities adjacent at Whitney Park in Rocklin. From I-80: Take Hwy 80 E from Sacramento to Hwy 65 N 5.2 miles. Turn right on Sunset Blvd, 0.8 mile. Turn left on W. Stanford Ranch Rd continue 0.4 mile. Turn left on Wildcat Blvd and continue 1.4 miles to 701 Wildcat Blvd on the right. Yahoo Maps

Check-in: Check-in begins Friday evening 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at our Home Base at Whitney High School, 701 Wildcat Blvd., Rocklin. Each rider must have signed our release waiver. Wristbands will identify you as a paid participant and are required at all rest stops, meals and activities.

Ride will be held rain or shine!

Each rest stop features its own unique cuisine and special ambiance. We strive to give riders efficient service so you can quickly get back on the road.
