2010 Sierra Century

The Sacramento Wheelmen invite you to join us on our ride through Placer County, celebrating our 35th year of the Sierra Century.

Three beautiful and challenging routes allow you to explore the rolling hills of Placer County. Roll through picturesque communities of Camp Far West, Meadow Vista, and climb the tree-lined back roads winding up to breath-taking vistas of the Sierra foothill towns of Colfax, Applegate, Newcastle and back to Rocklin.

The well-marked routes are chosen for light vehicular traffic. Accurate, easy-to-read route sheets help to make your experience safe and enjoyable. Our ever courteous and knowledgeable SAG personnel will be available to provide needed assistance, and experienced bike mechanics will staff the rest stops along with friendly and eager volunteers. Participants will receive a draw string "Swag" bag at registration.

Sierra Century Cycling Expo/Raffle
As an addition to this year’s Sierra Century, we will stage a bicycle expo showcasing new products and providing visibility to local organizations. We will also be holding a raffle of a La Pierre full carbon bike, as well as a Placer County weekend with hotel, dinner for two at one of our fine restaurants and a private wine tasting at Dono dal Cielo Winery. Raffle will be drawn Saturday afternoon. Recipient need not be present to win.
