Description: "SF Steets" is a 3-day event starting on Sunday, October 18th and ending with a ride on Tuesday, October 20th.
Sunday we take the ferry from Larkspur ferry terminal to Pier 41 in San Francisco. There we will be met by Dale Butler and Douwe Drayer and shown the sites of SF. These 2 Sacramento Wheelmen know how to travel by bicycle around the busy city of San Francisco. We will have lunch at a restaurant they pick for us. From there we will travel to the Street Events in the Mission District. At this event the streets are closed to car traffic. Great time to people watch and check out the strange happenings in SF. From there we travel over the Golden Gate Bridge back to our hotel in Corte Madera.
Monday we will ride through Mill Valley and then over Mt Tamalpais and down the East slope to Fairfax and all the small towns there that run together.
Tuesday we will travel to the headlands of north west of the Golden Gate Bridge to Pigeon Point Lighthouse and returning. Brunch stop in Sausalito.
Everyone is on their own for checking into the Marin Suites. Discounts for AAA and AARP members. Costs with discount is $139 + taxes and fees. We check in on Sunday and check out on Tuesday morning so it's a 2 night stay.
